A bit disappointing to lose at home to Birmingham. So Reading are still just 4 points clear of the drop zone, but still 1 point ahead of Boro who beat Charlton who are 2 points ahead of us.

We play the bottom two next - Barnsley and Stoke, so hopefully we can get 6 points from those two fixtures :fingersCrossed:

I would like to see Salah's goal.

I would like to see Salah's goal.

I've watched it a couple of times, and I'm amazed he managed to score from such an acute angle. He was 6 yards out, and just outside the penalty box. It was funny how he managed to score that one yet he had at least two much easier chances before that!

Also from Liverpool's group, Napoli have decided to sack Carlo Ancelotti despite a 4-0 win. He's now been linked to the vacant Everton managerial position if they can't get David Moyes to return. Arsenal of course are also interested in Ancelotti.

Charlton were on course for their first win in 10, until Hull equalised in the 96th minute...

We only gained 2 points... disappointing...

It was a day of goalless draws for my two teams. At least for Reading we didn't lose so we stay 5 points clear of Stoke. On to the next game at home to Derby, another forum supported Championship team who are in poor form at the moment.

I think the words "poor form" are an understatement! How has the same set of players gone from play offs to mid table at best? Ah well, there's always Rooney as a player to look forward to...

Hm lost to a late goal at Lincoln, but again played half the match with 10 men - not for the first time. Still hovering about the drop zone  :(

Rangers and Celtic have identical records in Scottish Premiership....  even same goal difference.

Was hoping that Everton might have earned three points this afternoon.

A bad afternoon for Derby as they fell to a 3-0 defeat to Reading, having played with 10 men for almost the entire match. That puts us top of the mini forum team league :D

The BBC match reporter was being very optimistic saying we're 10 points from the play-offs, given we're still 7 points from the drop zone, and in fact we're 11 points off the play-offs...

Orient had a nervous climax but managed to hold on to win at Cambridge, to keep us in mid-table mediocrity - 9 points from the drop zone and 10 points off the play-offs. Relegation may not be an issue if Macclesfield's financial problems continue...

At last another win for Tranmere, and against a relegation rival !

Looks like Rooney will be utilised to help stave off relegation, rather than support a crack at promotion  :(

As we reach the halfway point of the Premier League season, Liverpool are now 13 points clear of Leicester, and 14 points ahead of Man City after they dramatically lost to Wolves. A first PL title for Liverpool is looking more likely now.

3 wins in a row now for Reading after poor Preston (who started the day 6th) were beaten by us for the 5th game running. We're now 11 points clear of relegation and 7 points from the play-offs - maybe that BBC reporter is right to be optimistic!

Also an impressive win for Boro at leaders West Brom, coupled with Leeds' amazing last minute 5-4 win over Birmingham means that Leeds are now top.

Orient and Newport drew 1-1. Salford seem to be doing better than us at the moment and are now 6 points ahead after thrashing Oldham 4-1.
