Hi everyone

I became accompanist for a local choir at the start of 2022 and their Christmas concert is fast approaching. At their Spring concert it was suggested at the last minute that I might contribute a solo item (probably thinking piano) but I didn't have anything ready as I tend to avoid solos - accompanying is my preferred thing. Also, their previous accompanist was a seriously good pianist way above my ability so any piano solo I could produce would be a very poor second!

I am anticipating being asked again so trying to be prepared. Can anyone suggest anything - I do a lot of choral singing and have recently restarted singing lessons after a gap of many years. comfortable range is up to top G and I may have to accompany myself (or at a pinch record it). Secular or religious is fine and I wouldn't mind something from a musical.

Suggestions please...

I often sing "O Holy Night" as a solo. You can change the key to suit!
