We've got to push the current ghastly spam posts down the list with new topics! So come on all you hidden harpists whether beginner or virtuoso, tell us what you are practising at the moment!

I'm continuing to work on a lovely film tune called "Halt mich, küss mich, lieb mich," from the film Drei Haselnüsse für Aschenbrödel. (Is it known in the UK? Three hazelnuts for Cinderella.) Trying to get more movement into it. My teacher insists it's the kind of piece that makes everyone go all soft and dewy-eyed at this time of year. Haven't tested it out on anyone yet!

I started relearning a set of variations on "Greensleeves" by Sabine Chefson which I'd given up on sometime last year. This time I'm managing them a lot better. Except the one that has harmonics in both hands. May have to cheat on that one!

And "The Parting Glass" in an arrangement by Liana Alpino.

Wish it didn't take so long to feel confident with pieces!

Those sound nice! I'm plodding away at Deborah Henson-Conant's Nataliana. I've been cheating on the harmonics there for now too!

It does take a LONG time to really learn a piece, doesn't it?
