Hi all,

I don't usually teach keyboard, but I have inherited a pupil working towards her grade 2 KB exam.  Some of her pieces have voices which switch between say sax to piano to strings.  Unfortunately the keyboards we are using have no way of storing different settings, making it pretty impossible to switch voices in time between sections.  Would she get marked down if incorrect voices are used?

Thanks,  J

No penalty if the function isn't readily available on candidate's instrument.

I suggest using the HARMONY or DUAL functions as an alternative way of adjusting the voice effects and creating interest, if the instrument has those functions.

Good luck :)
