:lol: Thanks folks! Being neurotic, I have to personally supervise the destruction of the material, just to be sure. Which is annoying as most of it isn't even my stuff. Heigh ho!

Understand perfectly - I am told you can watch it being destroyed :-)

Yes, some companies will shred the stuff on the premises rather than take it away to be shredded.

Yes, we have one like that near us. Their slogan, printed on the side of their vans, is 'Have a rubbish day'. :lol:

Needs must: a whole big plastic box sorted and much reduced, because we need to take stuff down to daughter's house, and need something to put it all in. I'm not buying any more big plastic boxes until I've sorted and cleared the ones we already have. It was very satisfying dumping a whole carrier bag of rubbish in the bin, and putting cardboard in the recycling.
