Do you have any students playing this piece? I have a query over a note in bar 16. There is a B flat on second beat, with a subsequent chord which should therefore also be B flat. However after listening to performances on YouTube I was sure I could hear a B natural in the chord. I have since come across sheet music where it is written as a B natural in the chord. I have told my pupil to play Bflat as printed, but it doesn’t sound right - or maybe I have just got used to hearing the wrong note!

While https://www.sheetmus...76/Product.aspx suggests that it should be Bb, the duet version of the same piece clearly indicates a B-natural: https://www.virtuals.../HL-140314.html

The following piano solo edition clearly shows B natural: https://www.sheetmus...-music/20415310

In view of which, if I were you, I'd ask the board, although I think B-natural sounds better. :(

Personally, I'd guess that the AB edition perpetuates a missing natural sign from the first edition referenced above. In the following, the pianist plays B-natural despite the notation:

I have this piece in the 2005-6 grade 5 exam book and it definitely has a B natural in the chord in this book.

Thanks for your thoughts. Hildegard - I decided to contact the board as you suggested and they were prompt with their reply. They confirmed the note in question should be a Bnatural but either would be acceptable in the exam.
