Hi there,

Can anyone recommend a good Grade 6/7 flute duet book. Any genre!

Thanks

Alison

The Voxman Selected Duets for flute Vol 1 and 2 are excellent. Mostly baroque and classical.
(Ignore the "easy" part of the title in Vol 1, there's plenty of challenge in there!)

There is an excellent compilation edited by Louis Moyse and published by Schirmer entitled 'Album of Flute Duets'. If you like modern music, 'Conversations' by Richard Rodney Bennett is also good fun to play.

I second the Voxman and Rodney Bennett suggestions. Don't know the Louis Moyse edited book Andante suggested but he has edited some very good solo albums so no doubt this is also well worth a look.

Also I recommend the Telemann Six Duets Op. 2 if you fancy something baroque. If you like baroque duets, they are wonderfully written and satisfying to play - they take some beating!
