I have just listened (for the umpteenth time) to Alfred Deller singing Purcell's "Music for a While", having also heard a different recording by him of the same piece on Radio Three this morning. I find his singing of this utterly entrancing. I was wondering if there is anyone on the forums who was fortunate enough to see the great man in recital?

No, but I heard a recording of him singing "Music for a While" on France Musique some time ago and, like you, was entranced!

My singing teacher did since he was a counter tenor and we talked about it. But my teacher died a couple of years ago aged 90....
