Does anyone know how I can search through my emails for an email I sent to a particular addressee?  When I use the search function with the addressee's name, it returns just the emails that they sent to me.

Thank you LP, but on my computer, searching with the cursor on Inbox defaults to searching all folders (but only for the sender's name) whereas searching the Sent folder only searches its current contents - and I am in the habit of moving sent messages into an appropriate folder.

What do you do when you use the search function?  Do you type the email address into a text box?

JudithJ - sorry for delay in replying.  I think you have provided me with the answer!  What I typed into the search box was someone's name - say Jane Brown, and it produced a drop-down list underneath with, amongst other things - Jane Brown and [email protected], and I clicked on the latter.  But I have had a go just now, clicking on the simple Jane Brown, and that brings up emails from AND TO Jane Brown, which is what i wanted.  Thank you!
