I assume that means you start with the left hand and then alternate each following group of three notes RH, LH and so on?

How many octaves is this meant to be? The question met with a rather blank expression from licentiate level DD who never did exams but when she sat down and played a standard arp with divided hands she started 4321 in the left then played 321 with alternate hands to reach the top with right hand thumb then kept the right at the top to start the descent 23 then alternate hands 123 finishing on 1234 in the left again. But in real pieces as tulip 21 said - totally depends on the piece and how (which hand, which finger) you want to end up at the top and at the bottom.

Hello GMc
I'm looking at the G3 harp requirements. 3 octaves as here;
https://de.abrsm.org...es/harp0315.pdf
I'm assuming one starts with the LH triplet and plays the following groups of three hands alternately? (I'm probably making a molehill mountain ourt of this!!)

I don't play harp but I'd read that as alternate hands in the way you describe..... Stems down LH, stems up RH
