Has anyone ever used Herco Spitballs to clean their instrument? Never found a wire brush which lasts more than a year

 

And has anyone experienced using it with rotary valves like the french horn?

Hmm, not sure how they would work on a conical bore - I suspect that they might be too tight at the mouthpiece end and little use later on. But that's a pure guess, as I've never used them on a trumpet either.
