I would suggest that if you are planning on taking ABRSM theory exam, you should get the workbook or some past papers so you can get used to the wording used.

I totally agree. There is no mention of binary form at all in AB Grade 6 Theory papers, and the melody question does not require the completion of a 16-bar melody (it is usually 8-10 bars).  This Workbook with More Exercises on Theory of Music, Grade 6 does not seem to reflect the current requirements of AB Grade 6.

I agree with both of you too.

I'd suggest my teacher to use AB workbooks.

Thanks very much for your suggestions! :)

My teacher asked me to use this workbook for my music theory lessen , but I haven't no textbook of music theory from grade 6~8.

I've bought the 'ab guide to music theory part 2' myself for reference, but it's a bit too complicated for me.

Any recommended textbooks which are clear and easy to understand?

  Thanks again!

I found the AB guide to music theory part 2 really helpful, but maybe it would be good for you to read the part 1 too to help you understand the part 2.
I also used the ABRSM "music theory in practice workbook" and found the mymusictheory website really helpful!
