I'd be very happy with Angela Hewitt, Mark Padmore and Charles Makerras.

Emma Johnson, Andrew LLoyd Webber and maybe Myleene Klass.

I don't think I'd care what the food was...

Hmm, I know I'm a girl, but I want two females - so I'd invite two!

Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Menzel, and then Anthony Rapp as well - and the gender mix would be ok, cause everyone would know each other and it'd be more of an informal dinner with friends (plus one mad fan).

I don't know what we'd eat though...

Dorado Schmitt (a gypsy violinist/guitarist), Maxim Vengerov and Anna Netrebko. That would be fun!

Three and half years on since I started this thread, and we have many new members.

So lets start again.

If you were to choose three dinner guests to make a foursome ( ie. one of you own gender and two of the opposite) from the field of classical music, whom would you choose ?

Im changing mine now, Id go for Angela Hewitt, Alfred Brendel, and Emma Johnson.

BB was at the same nursery as Tasmin's daughter. We had lunch a few times and I knew she was a musician but I didn't know she was a famous musician! laugh.gif

Well, id have to choose...
Andrew Lloyd Webber
Georges Sokol
and the Conductor of the Halle Orchestra.

Wed have..

Curry Fish Cakes (they sound terrible, but theyre delish.)
Half a crispy chicken with home made BBQ sauce..
Cherry pie wub.gif

Wee detour... I was in hospital for 6 weeks, broken pelvis. One of my nurses was called Cherry Pie!!! Her mum had a bad craving for it when she was pregnant. It's her legal name  :D
