Just come back from having a flu jab. Huge numbers at the local medical centre, with sixth-formers from the local school drafted in for crowd control. It all seemed very efficient - I reckon one jab a minute in the room I was sent to, and there were at least six jabbing rooms. All three pharmacies near the medical centre were also vaccinating. I just hope they have tailored the vaccine to the right variant!

Going to a local milliner - it's her sideline, she has a day job.

And within about 30 minutes a fascinator was planned, the bits found among her stuff to make the thing, paid for (didn't break the bank) and I was on my way home. Hopefully it'll all work out ok.  Brilliant day's work. I've been worrying about it for a couple of weeks!!

Was first in at 8am at our health centre yesterday (with appt that said 8.00-8.03), but only one jabber I think.

We've got the plumbers here today putting in the bathroom and ensuite. I had on my 'list' the painting of the en-suite skirting boards. However, it turns out that there won't be any skirting board so it looks like my painting (of rooms) days are over!!!!! There's a tiny window in what used to be the outside toilet which needs some sanding etc etc... but I think I'm done... tentative jubilation!

edited to add that we've done every room in the house now and The Collie hasn't got a single drop of paint on her! That's more than can be said for me. And Mr Z has managed to knock over two cans of paint.

Starting up my zoom musicianship classes again.

Despite my internet going down just 20 mins into the first one (argh), the second one had no problems and it was so lovely to be working again with such amazing people.

I think Solfa Land is my Happy Place.

The cathartic experience of being able to put two more names in the shiny new notebook that my friend Rhapsody Angel gave me last week.

I saved a wounded crow. They may not be my favourtie birds but I did my bit for bio-diversity. It had very bright, intelligent eyes and a broken leg. It is in the hands of my vet and will be at a wild life sanctuary tomorrow or the day after. I was helped by the mother of a pupil as with a lot of lessons  I couldn't get to the vet before surgery closed. I took the crow to school in a cat basket and she took it to the vet during her child's piano lesson.
