Just back from phenomenal choir rehearsal. (Via pub.) We are competing in our first ever festival on Saturday, and we had our final practice plus a dress rehearsal tonight. A couple of guests and choir members who aren't going agreed to be adjudicators and made really constructive comments. But the quality of sound was just fantastic. Best it's ever been on some of the songs. I am on such a high, I need to calm down before Saturday, and hope we can recreate the great sound.
Wish us luck!!

Good luck to the Splog Singers, and enjoy your cocoa afterwards too!

My Dad (nearly 94) who had a week in hospital not too long ago, actually managed to play some Crown Green Bowls yesterday. They have put him down on a team sheet for a match next week, but my sister and I think this is unwise, he should stick to playing a little friendly stuff so he can stop if he's tired. Hope to see him next Tuesday.

Thrilled to bits today to hear that younger son has got a 2:1 in his B Mus!
It's been such a long journey for him due to various complications along the way so this is Seriously Good News!

I will (very soon) be welcoming a low A Mark VI baritone sax to my collection. Not only that, but I have had VERY positive responses to my suggestion to four friends that we should put together an AATTB quintet, and in the course of a 45 minute e-mail exchange it has become saxophone and cake club!
