We haven't had any real petrol problems on the Wirral, there were a few longer queues  at some stations for a couple of days last weekend,  but all have seemed normal since Monday.

Lucky you. There was a two-hour queue at one local petrol station on Saturday and all the rest in the area were closed. Apparently London and the South East were more badly affected than elsewhere. Yesterday the Petrol Retailers' Association said 71% of independent forecourts in London were back to normal,so we are gradually getting there.

Filled up this morning at 8am, just two pumps of 8 had cars at them. I had choice of six !

Hildegard has bravely done so! I hope it doesn't end badly.

Well done Hildegard, fingers crossed!
I got all excited to see a sudden flurry of posts, which just turned out to be that spam.

Well, I'm still here! I know a few senior staff at AB HQ, who will get an earful from me if I'm accidentally banned!

Ah, you know a few top brass as well? This is exactly what I did when I was banned, though of course I don’t know if the senior staff I know are the same people as the senior staff you know!
Got a free book out of it though!

If I got banned, I'd survive.

(are they brass, or are they silver-plated nickel?)

Does anyone know where I can get one of those high vis "Community Payback" tabards (without getting caught for shoplifting?) :) I know we aren't supposed to want one but...

Get a normal hi-vis jacket and an extra thick Sharpie?

That's an idea! I looked at Alexandra Workwear PPE - they do a personalisation service on their normal hi vis tabards - I'll give them a ring tomorrow. In their healthcare section they also do a "Do not disturb, drugs round in progress" tabard.
