Unruly as well as disregarding authority's lead? (7)

_ _W_E_ _

LAWLESS - anagram of ‘as well as’ minus one of the As (authority’s lead)

Potential killer of fish in strait and river (9)

_ _R_N_ _ _R

STRANGLER  - angler with ST (strait) and R (river) added.

Support a right to begin afresh (7)

_ES_ _ _ _

I think this might be RESTART  -  rest + a + rt (right)

Not sure if I’m being dim ! but I haven’t quite worked out DISHRAG.

I guess H is Henry:  RAG is clothing, but I can’t reconcile the DIS.

(Edit)  Oh -  ok - have just seen ‘drag…+  is’  -   I’ll get my coffee now …..

Cut around road blockage finally in Havering (10)

I_ _ _ _I_ _ _N

INDECISION (= final letters of road and blockage within incision) fits, but what on earth is the connection with the London Borough of Havering?

Yes - good question. I have to admit that it was bugging me, and earlier today I looked online to see if the solution came up, and  it did.

Apparently to ‘haver’ is to be indecisive (who knew!)  and so I think the capital letter at the start of Havering was a ….. mistake? Somehow that kind of misdirection seems wrong, doesn’t fit.

My Dictionary app doesn't recognise the word, but then it is only an app...

Hmm - apparently Collins English Dictionary does recognise it - but my first reaction too was ‘ is that a word?!’

Now for some (hopefully) easier clues from a Which? puzzle:

One of 50 ducks conceal short greeting (4)

_H_A

Incompetent Ulysses, ultimately pretty lacking, adds energy into the mix (7)

_S_R_S_

Flat rivet found on moon of Jupiter (6)

_T_E_O
