Until his teens , son (now 41) played trumpet . It has been in our house since then and was a Yamaha (232?) we bought new from Myatts in Hitchen.  His elder daughter may now make use of it. Can anyone suggest where  (Merseyside/Cheshire) we could take it for a good service ?

Neither Merseyside nor Cheshire, but near Keighley, a company called Windstruments at Crossflatts. Passed the place many times, prior to the completion of the Bingley bypass but never had cause to visit.

Thanks Chris. Of course.  I am Keighley born and bred, and still visit occasionally to see sister, even often using the Dalesway pub very close to Windstruments, at Crossflatts.  Was hoping for somewhere nearer though  .

Curly Woodwind in Liverpool certainly service woodwind instruments - give them a call about brass. If they don't, they will know who does.
