Hope Christian Eriksen pulls through...

He is 'awake' in hospital, which is good news.

England win their opening match 1-0 against Croatia. So that's three 1-0 wins in a row now. It's all good and well getting the wins, but they can't keep defending 1-0 leads like they do - they are going to get unstuck eventually...

0-0 between England and Scotland. England didn't do enough to deserve the win. Even right at the end I was begging them to cross the ball into the box. Instead they were just passing it along the ground, and they eventually lost possession. So frustrating...

So now we need to beat the Czech Republic to top the group and play our next match at Wembley, albeit it'll probably be against France, Germany or Portugal. Then again, finishing 2nd means we would face the runner up in Group E, which could give us a lower ranked opponent, although it would mean travelling to Copenhagen.

Another 1-0 for England. Job done I suppose. A bigger test to come next Tuesday with one of France, Germany or Portugal our next likely opponent.

Well, as things stands, with France winning and Germany losing, Hungary will be England's next opponent, with Portugal heading out!

Germany got a late equaliser (84th minute), so its England v Germany !!   A few mins earlier we would have been playing Portugal ! Its Hungary who are out.

The league fixtures are out. Orient travel to Salford first in a repeat of the opening National League fixture in the season both of us got promoted. Tranmere host Walsall.

Orient play Tranmere on the 18th December and on the 7th May, which will be the final day fixture!

There are some complications in the fixture list after Derby's latest financial situation means that they could yet get relegated to League One, which would give a reprieve to Wycombe. One certainty is that Reading will travel to Stoke on the opening day and Boro will travel to relegated Fulham.

The first round draw of the League Cup has paired Reading with Swansea, and Orient at home to QPR. Sutton will travel to Cardiff and Boro will go to Blackpool. Tranmere are away to Oldham, who they will also face in the EFL Trophy group stages alongside Salford and Leeds U21s. Orient will play Charlton, Crawley and Southampton U21s.

That's a lot of information to take in in one day!

Just seen on the news that Lazio have appointed former Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri as their new head coach, but had they not been able to get him, they've would've gone for the former Orient manager Fabio Liverani - the man of course who caused our decline into League Two and ultimately into non-league. If I was a Lazio supporter, I'd be pretty relieved right now...

Against my expectations, England have beaten Germany.

Maybe I should be a bit more optimistic...

A great win, but I didnt see a single minute of it, but will watch highlights.  We didnt get away from daughters in Herts till 3.30 to drive back home (4hrs). The roads, particularly the M6 were extremely quiet !

And we now know we will be facing Ukraine.

To quote a famous commentary from a famous football song, "Ukraine have done it, in the last minute of extra time".

Derby will keep their place in the Championship. So Wycombe, like Charlton last season, will not get a reprieve...

Early lead for England.

Plenty of time for them to give us a good demonstration on how to pass backwards...
