If you can make it work, go for it!
I wouldn't worry about what the parents think. If they don't think we're at least slightly mad, we're probably not doing our job well enough!!
edit: or is that just me?!!

Could you not reschedule the lessons for a time when you'll be home. After all if they're isolating then they'll be available all day.

Mostly - the particular instance that made me think of that though was it was siblings. The one who was sick was at home. The other was at school, so not available during the day. I didn't particularly want to go to the house and teach the other, but didn't have time to get home in the gap created to do online for one. So I had to reschedule that as well.
It might be a daft idea, just I have a feeling this term is going to be chaos with this sort of thing ...

It sounds very resourceful to me, if you can manage it.
I guess one way to find out!

Could it be pricey using all that 4G data? Unless you have a generous allowance on your mobile plan?

Well I would envision it maybe one lesson a week, worst case. If it got to the point multiple families are sick or isolating daily I think I'd be taking the whole thing online ...

If you and they can, I'd ask your families to be flexible with you, so that if someone in the middle of your route needs a video lesson that can't be slotted in before you start your "rounds", you can skip them until you get home, then give the video lesson at the end.
