Information for the concert day
Bring a stand if you can but don’t worry if it’s difficult because you are on public transport. There are usually enough to manage easily as we are not likely to be all playing at the same time. Put your name on it.
If you have any fun music you’d like to play with others during the morning bring it. It’s good to have a choice even if you don’t play everything you bring. Do ask if you’d like to know what other instruments will be there.
You will need to ring the doorbell which is to the left of the church door for admittance to the church.
Remember a packed lunch. Stalybridge town centre with a large Tesco store is not too far if you’d rather go out to get something or buy on the way in the morning.
The concert is in the church which may be several degrees cooler than outside so you might want something to cover your shoulders even if it is a hot day outside.
Home baking is always welcome if you wish to contribute to refreshments
Don’t forget your instrument and original copy of music.
Remember that it’s all about having fun playing at whatever level you are at.
The after concert meal will be at Wetherspoons in Stalybridge Which is about half a mile from the station. Please let me know if you think you'll be able to join us so that I can ask them to save us some space.
Looking forward to a full day of happy music making.
For those coming by train who have used the train on previous years please note that the Stalybridge train no longer goes from platform 13. Most likely to be platform 1. The times are 17 and 47 minutes past the hour.
