Our orchestra is back rehearsing, under covid rules, which means that in the strings we are sitting spaced out separately each with our own parts. We're doing Tchaikovsky's 5th Symphony, using downloaded parts from IMSLP. The scan is a bit scruffy and at A4 on my home printer comes out a bit too small for my ageing eyesight.  I can probably find an A5 printer in town but a proper printed, bound part would be even nicer. The few local music shops have closed down. Any ideas?

Are you sure it's the IMSLP version? The copy I found was quite clean looking. https://imslp.org/wi...y,_Pyotr)#Parts I did find other scruffier versions.

Isn't A5 just half the size of A4? Our bigger sheets are A3. But maybe I've misunderstood you.

@Badstrad - it is that same part but I find that occasionally some PDFs, when printed, render details in tiny dots rather than cleanly, so that the overall effect is slightly fuzzy. This is the case here.

&Gran'piano - yes, of course! I meant A3 - just a senior moment.  :)

The issue is that orchestral music is often B4, which is larger than A4. To print on A4, it has to be scaled down, which for me is an issue. There are people who provide print services who will print you a version as a B4 booklet. If you Google something like "print IMSLP parts" you should see some options come up

That's a great suggestion, TV. I've just found PMBS Music Printing which will do a B4 bound part quickly and cheaply.  Many thanks!
