I often read Friend as Fiend rolleyes.gif and I have started misreading the title as well, which is stupid since it was my title! laugh.gif

I have consistently read the title of this thread as "Misleading topic titles" ever since it first appeared. blink.gif

I just did. Misread the topic title "Cricket" as "Crack". Been staring at numbers too long, eyes gone blurry.

Yes, IRTAs (short for I Read That As) can often be funnier than howlers themselves, and might suggest something in the mind of the reader.

A frind of mine, active in politics for several years, once wrote
"I found this happening a lot when I was temping for the LibDems"

Several of my friends read it as "tempting" and wondered a lot what his job entailed.

Just be very careful when you read the name of the man who wrote The Entry Of The Gladiators (the famous circus tune) I'll leave you to google for it.

I've just misread the same title as "Brunch Fingers". blush.gif I think I must be hungry. laugh.gif I really fancy some little sausages, egg with soft yoke and toast fingers now, and I don't have any of those items in the house. mellow.gif

what the FCUK!

Every time my nan says FCUK she says the C and U the wrong way round. Isn't good when she shouts across a busy boots store to me that shes found some f-u-*-k toiletries.

It's not really surprising that later histories of Britain re-spelled the original name of king Canute
