The stallholder one could be OPERA GLASSES, in which case the answer I have for To become active, making part of the crater upturned (5) - REACT is wrong.

I think 'Become active' could be ERUPT. Would that fit ?

And 'Appear smaller' is SEAMLESS.

Good luck with solving them. I love cryptic crosswords but can never seem to solve them at all. You guys are far better than me.
