Bit disappointed that the beginner violin part is open strings only. All the others seem to use positions. Beginner to grade 1 could do with a simplified part with a bit of the tune!

Is this "Figurenotes" notation supposed to be for kids with learning difficulties?

Don't see how the use of coloured shapes helps in learning music  :unsure:

Figurenotes is simply a different notation system: http://www.figurenotes.org/

Though it looks a lot like Playstation symbols in my opinion :lol:

The first line of Figurenotes  looks like

%Lilypond notation

\version "2.18.2"

{d''4 e''8. d''16 b'4 b'|

b'8. a'16 b'8. c''16 b'2|

c''4 a'8.d''16 b'2|

g'4 e'8. a'16 d'2|}

%Now I understand!

:D
