After a mostly cold and wet May, summer has come and we have ripe and nearly ripe strawberries on the balcony. (unfortunately just before we leave for ten days holiday!)

The old family violin, that we thought was worthless, turns out to be worth quite a bit! I took it to the luthier today and he's going to set it up so our neighbour's son can have it to play, now that he needs a full size. A good result all round!

Great news for you and the youngster. Usually it is the other way round. An instrument thought to be worth quite a bit turns out to be worthless.

I've been looking forward to a school organ recital ever since I saw it on the calendar. It didn't disappoint, and am very very proud of my son. He played a Bach prelude and fugue that he's been learning all year (? bwv 547 I think) and it was very impressive.

Very good , BWV547 is the one with the prelude in 9/8 time in C Major.

Yes I think that was it. Now I've got to work out how to get the recording from my fairly new phone onto my computer so I can email it to my mother!
