:) thank you! Going to need it! My teacher sprung this idea on me a mere three weeks ago; I was planning to go straight on to grade 3, but it'll be good experience especially when the many start taking exams,( my son has his prep the same day!).

Here after 2 weeks of minimal practice due to a messy house move, exam is now 3 and half weeks away and panic has set in! But finally in, and I've discovered my office in the new house has really good acoustics so full of motivation to practice hard for the exam!

Main problem with pieces at the min is dynamics :/

Thank you :) scales going well just need to improve 3 octave slurred. Pieces great at home but fall apart if playing in front of someone. Hoping it will be better with accompanist :s

How is everyone else getting on?

Possibly, maybe now doing Grade Five Piano this session on a special visit. I have until Monday to decide! Eek!

What did you decide? My lot are chilling out this term - just one tenor horn to accompany and that's it.

Yep, decided to bite the bullet. Three years since grade four and learnt pieces from three syllabi I thought it was about time :D

Getting a little nervous, it should be some time in the week beginning 14th December so not long to go. Doing the Haydn Menuet, Lied and 60's swing

Wasn't sure whether to put this in the Scream thread or this one, but I had a hideous lesson today, couldn't even get through the sight singing, the 'easy' scales were awful and don't get me started on the pieces! I think the fact it's exactly three weeks has put me in total panic mode :(

Sounds about normal. Try not to let it get you down too much.  :thereThere:

What pieces are you playing Chaia? :happyviolin:

From the old syllabus:

A3- telemann andante
B3- petit air varie
C1- for Latin lovers

B piece is my main worry (always is!) I panic when I get to the variation!

Don't worry. If they call it a variation then that's asking for some variations isn't it! :)

I like that approach, I'll remember that!
