Can anyone explain this one?
(I know the answer but don't get it! I can post the answer if you like.)
A FOREIGN DIGNITARY LACKING CREDIT. (8)
It is an anagram of "a foreign" and the answer is two nasty foreign words meaning 'beneath one, or demeaning"
Good grief. I haven't done a cryptic crossword for over 50 years!

The answer is UNWORTHY. So it's not an anagram and the definition is "lacking credit". What's "a foreign dignitary" got to do with it?
