Maybe tomorrow.Welcome to beautiful France. Hope you have a really lovely holiday. Are you by any chance in the south wesr?
On my holidays in the land of Aquarelle. Lovely.

I have made a bee garden full of plants for pollinators, and having seen this, my nextdoor neighbour has just announced that he is going to get a bee hive and do bee keeping!

Yesterday I went to a concert. I was so tired I nearly didn't bother but it was part of the local church fĂȘte so I dragged myself along. I didn't even know what sort of music it was to be. It turned out to be a male voice choir - about 50 men, most of them well over forty. They wore red T shirts with an embroidered badge black trousers and black berets - also with the badge. The repertoire was mainly Basque and BĂ©arnaise folk songs, plus one or two sacred items. This is not a repertoire I know and not top of my list of music I enjoy but it was so well done I loved every minute. I had seen my brother off the day before after his two weeks here so was feeling a bit down. Their singing really raised my spirits. They obviously loved their music. I was a bit sorry that none of my piano pupils were there - they might have learnt a great deal about dynamics and phrasing!

Getting a new CD player and staving off the withdrawal symptoms of not being able to play any music for the last few days.

We have visiting carers for an elderly relative. I've just got them to play the guitar and sing in an Anglo-Philippino jam session!

They are probably begging their manager not to send them to "that weird house" again!

Yesterday I became a grandmother for the first time and a mother-in-law for the second time.
Different offspring were involved in each happy event, thank goodness. My eldest son got married: an elopement, although not a secret one, so we weren't there, and my youngest son and his wife had a baby girl at 01.37 yesterday morning.
When I was pregnant myself I had boys' and girls' names chosen, as one does. My eldest son was going to be Emily, and my middle son either Victoria Caroline or Caroline Victoria. Yesterday, our family was joined by an Emily (the baby) and by a Victoria Caroline (my daughter-in-law). Some things are obviously just meant to be!
