Have any string teachers out there ever attended the ESTA summer school?  I'm hoping to go this year but wonder what the atmosphere might be like - some string teachers can be a bit 'precious'...  I'm worried that I will come away with a serious inferiority complex...

I've taught on it three times and loved it!

As a non-string player I thought I might feel a bit looked-down-upon, but that was far from the case. People were very friendly and very appreciative of what I was doing.

And the concerts in the evening were an amazing bonus!

My friend Jacqueline Vann (Dalcroze) taught in it last year and will be there again this year - she loved it too.

So I would go for it!

Thanks.   I'm told that my experience of string teachers is not typical - so maybe there is hope...
