Snog, Marry, Avoid. (i.e., like, REALLY like, and don't like).Either composers, instruments, or a mixture of the two. It is supposed to be light hearted fun by the way.

I will, of course go first.

Snog: Schubert

Marry: Ravel

Avoid: Trombone.

Snog: Barry Douglas
Marry: a toss- up between Parry and Schubert - perhaps healthier just to remain engaged to Schubert...
Avoid: Wurlitzers.

Might change my mind tomorrow, but not about the Wurlitzers!

I need multiple turns for my "snog". Today, Albéniz.

My "marry" will always be Debussy.

I need three "avoid"; Schumann, Mendelssohn and Brahms.

Snog Mendelssohn,
Marry my piano
Avoid harpsichord- went to top class player concert recently and found it tinny, boring and insubstantial. Husband hated it. Kept thinking, the chap would sound so good on a piano.

Snog: Ian Clark and Angela Morley. My snogs do vary and these are my favourites at the moment!
Marry: my flute and my violin but I must also admit to an affair with my oboe
Avoid: um erm playing lots of 4th finger on the violin at the moment! Note to self whilst playing hide and seek with the kids it is not a bright idea to fall up the stairs!!

Sorry, can't do this, the image of me snogging with Haydn and marrying Mozart is too gross to contemplate.

As for avoid: Boulez, Stockhausen, ... and a dozen less well known but equally pretentious.
