Hi ! I am just wondering when do I need to replace the strings. When they break ? Or when they show signs of breaking ? And is it normal for the rosin to stick on the strings like cement ?
P.S : I'm a beginner. So, I know nothing about how to take my violin . Any
tips ?

Sorry for the mistake. I meant "take care of my violin."

Dont know about the strings, but as for the rosin, get a soft cloth and clean it off the strings after you play.

You should really change your strings once a year.
However, I am very naughty and change the A and E when they break or start to unravel (which is frequently, probably about 3 times a year for each!!) and I change the D and G about once every two years...

I remove the rosin from my strings with 'Pirastro' string cleaner. Just dab some string cleaner on an old hanky and gently rub the string to remove the rosin. I chage my strings once a year, but I do not change them all at the same time, there is an interval of one week between each string change.

Oh... right... feels stupid... hides under a blanket.
But in my defence, when I posted that, my brain was protesting about the amount of revision.
