Hi,
Just got a second hand flute (silver head\tube, plated keywork) and was wondering what I can use to clwean it up a bit. It plays ok so no sticking pads, and the keys all seal and move freely enough.
It has some gunge around, like the inside of the headjoint, and along the pinwork as it hasn't been used for a few years.
A couple fo the keys have very minor wear and what looks like a greenish "corrosion" (for want of a better word) - very small though and only cosmetic.
I have a silver cloth (bought from allflutesplus), but am looking for advice on what to avoid - like what are good\bad silver polishes\cleaners etc
I have heard that pure alcohol (ethanol?) and even nail polish remover with a q-tip used sparingly is probably the best ?
Many Thanks
