The topic title says it all. I was trying to see if anyone else had responded to that thread and can't find it anymore.

I replied to it too, supporting something you said organ_dummy. The thread hadn't turned into an argument or anything as far as I know so I wonder what happened? Perhaps someone will let us know.

It hath disappeared.
Why, I don't know. BUT, it was a copy of the paper B from 2008, which is not yet publicly available (it doesn't appear in the shops until January 2009). So maybe that has something to do with it.

How stupid of me.

I thought I recognised the questions - it's the Grade 8 paper I took in June. When I looked at it and thought I'd seen it before I decided it was a past paper that I'd worked before sitting the exam. I "knew" it couldn't be this year's paper as they aren't published before January.

I wonder how the person who began the thread got hold of it?

I would think that even if it had been published, posting images of it here would still be infringing copyright anyway. Seems not surprising they took it down now that I think about it, seeing as this is the AB's website we're on.

Yes, I agree with Andy. It's similar with academic exams boards such as AQA as they don't upload their past papers onto their websites until a year after issue.

The regulations state:
QUOTE
17e Theory papers are not returned after marking
I still can't understand this...

£4 if you passed, or maybe s/he means it will be £4 postage?

But the regulations clearly state that theory papers are not returned, regardless whether it was a pass or fail, and regardless whether it was £4 or free; so, why are some people allowed to do this and why would HLR's be receiving the papers back anyway?

The regulations that we see are the UK & Ireland regs...maybe it's different in other parts of the world? I don't know if the people who have got the papers back are in the UK or overseas...

True, but I would be surprised if the that sort of regulation was different in other countries.
