Helloo, I'm a mezzo about to audition to 7 colleges. I'm looking to talk to other singers and find out in particular about their audition experiences, esp. regarding their interviews. Eg. did you get asked about other singers? and what about you applying to other colleges? and what you like about each course? and were there any questions you remember being stuck on..?

Would especially like to hear from any singers already at any of the colleges, to say what is particularly good about that place for singers etc and what is looked for by the panels etc.

Or any help on audition/interview questions from those who have auditioned at any of the conservatoires recently would be much appreciated!!

Thank you veeeery much smile.gif

Can't answer your questions, but just wanted to say best of luck. A bit of a dream of mine that you're living, there.

I can't offer any first hand experience, but I usually say to students auditioning for things (not necessarily music colleges), that the panel want to see as wide a range of skills as possible within the time available. I don't think that they expect perfection, otherwise there's nothing to work with. They want to see enthusiasm and commitment.

Good luck!
