hello_cello
With an increasing number of threads being made asking the grade of pieces etc, i figured id make a website with them listed on.

So, ill post the link, if anyone has any suggestions to be added, either PM me, or make a post here, and ill add it!

Blimey - that's going to take some time if you are thinking of listing the entire piano repertoire! ohmy.gif rolleyes.gif

I think EdExcel already has done this for you! And I believe there are quite a few other websites as well. At best, these 'gradings' can only be subjective and approximate.

ooh i didnt realise that!
Well ignore this thread now

Well if they have done they have hidden it well. Do have a direct link to the right part of the EdExcel site?

This is one I sometime look at for reference:
http://www.pianostreet.com/Graded_Pieces_All.xls
fsharpminor
But these cannot refer to ABRSM or other UK boards as they go up to grade 10.
There's no way all the Bach '48' are grade 7 !

EDIT - this appears to be a Swedish website.

Blimey,
I wish I'd seen that before manually extracting the oboe repertoire into a spreadsheet.

In the space of a few mins I now have a list sorted by grade. I shall be adding ABRSM list letters shortly.

The Edexcel list is collated from the lists of the usual exam boards (ABRSM, Trinity, Guildhall and LCM). However it, has not been updated since it was first put on the site, and so items from more recent syllabuses (2004 or so onwards) should be added.

I was a bit perturbed to find - having spent the best part of a year getting Beethoven's Pathetique to what I hope is a distinction level standard in a DipABRSM, that it is rated Grade 7 ... and that his Op 101 and 110 (in preparation for competitions and higher awards) are rated at Grade 8

Oops! Apologies! You're absolutely right! I never looked at the site properly. I should have realised some pieces were above grade 8 and couldn't have referred to ABRSM!!! biggrin.gif

biggrin.gif Ohhh so sorry MadTom!! Well at least that explains why I sometimes find pieces my teacher gives me REALLY hard....even though the pieces are listed at between grade 6 and 7!!!!! laugh.gif
