Does anyone have a copy of this? (Consolati e Spera - Scarlatti from Arie Antiche vol 1 Riccordi)
The only version I have is (I think) from the Shirmer book (Anthology of Italian Song 17th & 18th Century Book 1), and I suspect the Riccordi version might have a more authentic (and useful) version of the accompaniment.
The version I have starts with a single bottom D in the accompaniment, which was probably a broken chord (harpsichord/continuo stlye) originally, so if someone has got the Riccordi book, can you tell me how the accompaniment starts?
Thank you.

I am off to my studio in a short while. I have a copy there. I'll have a look.

Sorry...A pupil has borrowed the album and I won't see it until Friday. Then I'll get back to you if that's OK. I did look on Schubertline but it isn't there.
