Hi All,
I have been looking for AGES for the flugel solo from ''Brassed Off'' by Rodrigo, but I'm not entirely sure what it's called.
I need the sheet music for it, with piano accompaniment, as I want to play it for my A2 Performance exam, which will be next March sometime I think.
Can someone please let me know if they've found it in any shops anywhere, or send me the link or something?
I am getting pretty desperate now!
Thanks!!

Sorry, serious answer now! Did a google search, and it is apparently arranged by someone called Darrol Barry. Music room have something by him, but all a bit vague, so you would need to email them and suss it out.

Interestingly, the flugel solo played in Brassed Off is not available for everyone to play. It was arranged for Grimethorpe by Kevin Bolton but was never officially published. There are a lot of bands who have handwritten copies and photocopies of Bolton's arrangement though. Apparently, Rodriguo's family never gave permission for it to be arranged as a band piece because of the personal connections to the piece (he wrote it after his wife had a miscarriage).
There are other arrangements which have been published... but the Bolton one is the one from the film.

You could also try ScoreStore, run by a couple who are both musicians. They have got one or two quite obscure things very efficiently for me.
