Hey

I was just wondering if anyone knows about any, piano accompaniment qualifications you can get? I am sitting my grade 8 at the end of the year and i thought that this would be a good qualification to get and its also someting that i find fun to do.

Thanks

Trinity and LCM both do accompaniment exams or you could use ABRSM's ensemble option.
Of the 2 accompaniment exams available I preferred TG as the whole exam is about accompanying where with the LCM syllabus you do 2 accompanied pieces and the rest is the same as the solo piano exam for the same grade.
I did grade 5 TG last November (the lowest grade with that board). It's harder than grade 5 solo piano. Also the books are fairly expensive and you do need both as well as a willing soloist with the right music or you might have to buy that too.
