Does anyone know of any good Internet/ print resources to find potential piano duet partners?

I am an adult learner so am not really in contact with any other musicians (which is the reason why I'd like to play music with others). I've tried Gumtree but no results there!

I am in Essex, please pm me if you are prepared to travel. Let me have details of your age and standard.

Or you could try Benslow Music Trust. If you join (£25) they will put you on the amateur music exchange listing. This is something that I need to do but haven't got round to it yet.

This site might be useful - http://piano.meetup.com/ - I don't know anything about it though - I just stumbled across it today. For "Dartford" it came up with "The London Piano Meet Up Group" - http://piano.meetup.com/68/

I am a teacher who would also like to find a potential piano duet partner Perhaps another teacher or a pianist of around grade 6 or above standard I am on the Surrey Hants border. Anyone interested or got any ideas please?

Apologies if this is a bit obvious and you've tried it, but if it was me I'd contact other teachers in the area and ask if either they would be interested or if they had any students who might be.

Jo0425, I can see you're a newbie so I'm not sure if you know about www.musicteachers.co.uk which is the main online site for teachers.

If you have a music shop locally, you could try putting a card on their notice board if they have one.

You could try asking around the local church organists - they might be interested themselves or they might be teaching an organ student who might be interested (I think, but I might be wrong, that you have to be a fairly high-level pianist in order to learn the organ unsure.gif)
