Can anyone please tell me the answers to the following questions?

In what order of keys Chopin arranged his set of twenty-four Preludes?

Also, which one of Chopin's piano sonatas is noted for its solemn slow movement?

Thanks

No offence, but get the book out and work it out!

These sound like exam questions and you will only remember it if you sit down and work out the answers yourself. They do run in quite a logical fashion so once you have worked it out you'll be able to recall it in exam conditions.

I have taken offense.

I would have got the book out if I had the book. (I'm assuming here you are refering to the 24 Preludes). I just thought some obliging person would have liked to respond. I know from experience that I like to supply information to anyone in difficulty.

Sorry if I have offended you, but when you recover you may feel like telling me the answer? wink.gif tongue.gif

Order of keys:

No 1= C major
No 2= A minor
No 3= G major
No 4= E minor
No 5= D major
No 6= B minor
No 7= A major
No 8= F# minor
No 9= E major
No 10= C# minor
No 11= B major
No 12= G# minor
No 13= F# major
No 14= Eb minor
No 15= Db major
No 16= Bb minor
No 17= Ab major
No 18= F minor
No 19= Eb major
No 20= C minor
No 21= Bb major
No 22= G minor
No 23= F major
No 24= D minor

I think the answer to the second question is No 2 in Bb minor.

So given the first 2 you can easily see what the pattern is...

You don't need the book. This information is easily available on the web. For example, using google you could have found one of these places in a few seconds:
