Hello everyone,
I'm just wondering if anyone has ever used voicesource.co.uk to purchase materials and how their experience was of dealing with the company?
The reason I'm asking is that on the 15th of July I ordered some stuff from them - they took immediate payment (only a hundred euro or so, but still...) and I've had no news since. I've emailed them more than ten times now and have phoned twice. All my communications appear to have been ignored.
I'd rather think they were just clumsy with customer communication and that everything will be fine, but I'm beginning to worry that they may have just stolen my money...
Any suggestions?
Tapadh leibh,
Allan

Sorry, Allan, never heard of them. How did you pay? You could get the credit card company to investigate for you if you paid by cc. I never pay by any other means over the net. At least you are protected.
I hope you get your order soon.

Thanks AnnC, I did pay by credit card, so I suppose I'm covered if it never turns up. To be honest, I'm more bothered about not getting my stuff! It's all interesting vocal anatomy material.
That said, I can't believe that they're totally ignoring me - I mean, if they're away, you'd think they'd say so - right?...
It's mind boggling!

I had a wonderful online shopping experience...the guy did at least communicate but never sent the refund or goods.
Not until I sent him a letter headed 'Letter Before Action'. I said I'd be taking him to small claims, but I'd also be telling my credit card company (it was below the £100 limit - £99.00!

- but they still like to know about these things). And I'd be mentioning his fraud to WorldPay, who I'd paid through. And NoChex, who I didn't use, but which he also offered, who I thought might be interested to know they were accepting payment for a fraudlent business, etc.
Refund cheque turned up the next day, along with phone call of huge apologies and 'please don't send all those letters off'

These people may ignore you for ages, but as soon as you threaten to tell lots of people about it loudly, they may do the right thing...

I see on their website they provide a PO Box address, you can call the post office (I think its the post office) to get their real address. You can also try the registered address from a lookup at the companieshouve.gov.uk free company search.

OK I'm bumping this up as a warning to anyone who may be tempted to deal with these people. They have stolen my money and refused to respond to any of my contact attempts. I also know now that they have done this to several people. I've given them several chances to contact me and say that they're having a difficult patch, I even offered them the chance to repay me in installements if they were really hard - all ignored.
Keep away from this company, they are dishonest, fradulent and unscrupulous.
I've checked out Companies house and their accounts are over due for 2007, no surprise there.
I have however managed to get the director's home address, so shall be hassling him face to face from now one.
Please warn anyone you know who buys singing material online - they come across as a very highly respected company on their website, with an enormous stock - steer clear !

AT LAST! Hello everyone, after getting the MD's address and hassling him on the phone, he called me back with some story about how customer services didn't do their job properly. Anyhow, I didn't buy it but I somehow felt that the company were having problems and didn't want to say so (to be honest after the messages I had left them, if it truly were a customer service problem - someone from customer services would have phoned me back - even if to tell me to get lost !).
Anyhow, despite the hassle I was offered a full refund, or the chance for my goods to be despatched. For some reason, I don't know why, I felt like I wanted to give them another chance - I mean they did the right thing in the end and so on, so I did and I received my goods this morning.
A relatively happy end - I hope the company will get themselves back on track and start treating customers properly because they have a great deal of potential as a vocal products provider.

So pleased to hear that you got your goods in the end, rosfrog.
It's a horrid feeling when you think someone has deliberately cheated you. I remember once ordering some personalised stationery which never turned up - because it was only £10, in the end I let it go; often wondered how many £10 were acquired by that company before someone took them to court!

Thanks BerkshireMum!
You're right, it's really frustrating - you feel like you can't do anything at all to put things right - I'm in a different country, they weren't answering me (I think I got to around fifteen calls and a couple of letters after the many many emails) - and as we don't really have credit cards in France (what we call credit cards are really debit cards) there was no guarantee from my bank either - I was seriously thinking of letting it go too!
Still they did the right thing in the end.

Hi Allan
I too have had problems with this company. I have tried to contact them by email, answer machine, but nothing.
My order was by credit card so I can get my money back - only problem is that I would much rather have the books!
If you would be willing to share the contact no with me (via pm) I would be really grateful. Otherwise I will just contact my credit card company.
They have some fab books on their website so it is a great pity they mess customers around like this.
Thanks
Elizabeth

Well 3 of the 4 books I ordered did arrive today but only after me leaving a message on their answer machine a couple of days ago to say if I didn't get some response from them I would be contacting my credit card company.
They have so many great resources, it is such a pity that their customer care is zero! They didn't return any of my calls or emails. Anyway, I am off to do some reading!
