I figured, as we have so many threads asking what books etc for X grade, that we could have a thread with a list of books that help for each grade.
If you have an addition, post it here and ill update thie first post smile.gif

Fantasia in P major
Also, for Grade 6, it would seem that a list of the chapters in Harmony in Practice might be useful.

For all grades, the 'Music theory in Practice' books by Aston and Webb.

For grades 1-5, the pink AB guide to theory. For 6-8, the blue one, but pink is still useful.

For 6-8, the 'Theory Workbooks' (i don't know if you can get them for earlier grades), but IMO, they're not as good as MTIP, even though they're meant to be more relevant to the new sylabus.

For grades 1-5 you can get the 'Theory time' books, but I didn't get on very well with them, so wouldn't really recommend them.

For pre-grade-1, the Monkey Puzzles books (that go with 'Me and My Piano') were fun when I started. biggrin.gif

There are lots of titles listed in the first post of the Theory of Music Books thread but I found that it was difficult to split many of the books into every one of the grades. Someone else might be able to help with this though smile.gif

You should be able to lift plenty of titles from the recent grade 5 and grade 6 topics...
