Hello,
Any ideas where I might find cheap piano books with major works, hungarian rhapsodies (complete) or transcendental etudes etc..? I tried e-bay but they only have book 2 of the hungarian rhapsodies and not much else in terms of one single bind. Would also be interested in the transcriptions, concert etudes, anything! (playing it is another matter...)
thanks as always

I got a book in the Millers sale the other day (although the RRP on the back says $6, so its not exactly expensive anyway) It's called 'Six Pieces for Piano' by the Oliver Ditson Company. It has Liebestraum No.3, Hungarian Rhapsody No.2 and 4 other pieces which are meant to represent a range of Liszt's compositions.

Try looking for some of the old Star Folio albums on ebay. There are usually some to be had and they have a decent selection. I cannot remember whish ones have Liszt pieces in but most sellers give good details on request. My last one cast me 99p. Happy hunting!

What about second hand music shops? In London, try Travis and Emery in Cecil Court (near Leicester Sq)

The star folios were a good idea, but they have lots of different stuff in them. I'm still looking.
