For grade 1 piano, old cuckoo clock, it says for the left hand to be on the lower c (i dont know the proper terms) but it does'nt sound right and on you tube when i look at people playing it their hands are close together but on the notes it says they are far apart.. so it confuses me which notes its supposed to be

I think you may have overlooked the treble clef for the left hand.

That does sound possible !
