Full Version: My New Piano Arrives Tomorrow

Well my new piano arrives tomorrow between 12 and party1.gif 2.00pm, and I am already for it. We cleared my son's playroom over the weekend and put the old one in there. He loves it and has been on there when I am not. This is really good news as he dropped piano last year after getting to Grade 3 level so it will be great if he decides to take it up again.

We have done duets together, plus duets me on the piano and son on his flute, you wouldn't think that a change of room would make so much difference to him. Prior to this when I have asked him to do duets with me he has always said no.

My piano teacher is coming round to my house tomorrow evening to give me my lesson on my new piano!

Do you think I will be able to sleep tonight?

Wish I was getting your new piano - hope you have many happy hours on it. smile.gif

I wouldn't mind betting that your son finds the new instrument more inspiring than the one he has acquired. Make sure he washes his hands first! He's lucky to have an encouraging parent - I'll never forgive my mother for getting rid of my piano to make room for an mfi unit!

Your post made me laugh. This new interest in the piano became when he heard that I was getting a new one. Will I be able to play it he asked me, I said yes, if I am not on it, and only if you wash your hands first!

Great minds think alike lol

Problem is I am exhausted from playing the piano too much! Got the grandsons round tomorrow so taking them and my 11 year old to the tennis club - I just know that I will get withdrawal symptoms.

My grandsons have been told that they are not allowed to touch Nanna's new piano, if they want to play they have to go on the old one!

I'd be jealous too! It is a delight to have. Even hubby keeps sneaking in and having a play when I have to get off it for example to cook the dinner! He has barely touched the piano for years! Maybe he may even agree to do a duet with me, I have been asking him for years now. biggrin.gif

Exhausted now, but who knows after a rest I may just have to have another go!
