i like piano
erm....i've just have my first violin lesson at tuesday.my teacher only ask me to practise to use the bow.and play on the open strings.he say that i must place the bow in the same line wif the bridge along the playing.how could i do that.some time the bow sure will move a bit.how could one place the bow in one steadily on the strings??????????????i've ben practising for about 4 days.every day half an hour.still cannot make it so perfect.and the sound cannot be still.i mean the tone is sometime played louder or softer.and at the ending part, my hand and the bow shakes!!!!!the bow is too long!!!!!!!oh!!!!!!violin is really much harder than i thought.can anyone give me any advice on how to use the bow??(but i can play the tone right now, no other strange sound) rolleyes.gif

It does take time to get the hang of it. Keep on practicing a bit every day - it will get easier.

just work hard... and good luck!!!! playing the violin is one of the most enjoyable things i do!

Yes just keep it up. I remember feeling that way too... first lesson and feeling like you might have to give it up already. But see, I'm in Grade 4 now.
