Does anyone know a source of piano fingering exercises (not finger exercises) books websites etc.
hello_cello
A dozen a day, its excersizes made up mainly of scales, so it incorporates both finger and fingering exercizes

Are you meaning a book with lots of musical examples to practise working out and writing in the most appropriate fingering? My dad had one years back which I've inherited (ancient, probably well out of print and haven't the foggiest at the moment where it is so I can't even remember the title.....)

that sounds interesting - let us know the title if you find it! :-)

I have a "clean" copy of the Well tempered Clavier with NO fingering (Kuhnemann edition). What better exercise than to work out your own, then cross check it later with my old associated Board version to see if and where I can improve it.

I'd recommend Dozen A Day too.

Also some of Pianoforte Technique written by Geoffrey Tankard and Eric Harrison

Can't find my dad's old fingering book sad.gif - but someone else on a different piano forum is enquiring after a book called Fingering Exercises by Carlo Albanesi 1901......so this may or may not be the same book (reprinted in the 1940s or 1950s possibly) - it seems to ring a bell but I won't be sure until I find it......

Edit: yay.gif look what I've just found!!

Not 100% sure it's the same book, but I think this might be what you're after.......looks like it might be still in print afterall.......
