I finished a theory paper tonight for grade 6. Everything I kne how to answer, even the general questions. Im thrilled and loving the theory high.

Thanks everyone for your help, its much appreciated and I'm not saying that I won't be on here tomorrow with an other brain teaser, but I just felt this would be an appropriate moment to thank you all

Well done Micky and particularly as you are doing it without a teacher, thats right isn't it? I manage to plod through the paper but I need my teachers help. I find the way that they word the questions is difficult for a start, once I work out what they are asking me I am half way there.

No wonder they give you 3 hours I reckon I will use every minute of it.

Are you hoping to take Grade 6 in November? I don't think I will be ready by then, unless it suddenly all falls into place.

Its good fun though!

Got bogged down on the figured bass... couldn't get it to come out without breaking rules in one place or another no matter how much I juggled things around.

Yesss it is, I was saying to my mum today (who isn't musical at all so did not really know what I was talking about ) that I must be one of the only people who do theory out of the fun and joy of it, ahaaa. It is great fun, I also love learning about the ancient stuff as well.
