this is where people faint with shock! Nat has a complaint about Einaudi! ohmy.gif

its just that his pieces are quite long and im trying to find a good piece to perform for my A2 but they take up most of my allocated time! and i dont think im allowed to cut bits out.
Ben
Ha ha...I'm sure it wouldn't matter if you edited them slightly...surely its the quality of your performance that counts?

I can't stop playing Questa Notte at the moment...I love that one. And I have just nailed the bit I found hard - where its got semi quaver triplets in right hand and straight semi quavers in left hand smile.gif

maybe you could do an Einaudi medley?! rolleyes.gif

There you go some good practice for you of three against two...

Dare I be cheeky enough to suggest that from what I have heard of them they're so repetitive that no one will miss anything if you miss out a large section wink.gif.

Sorry, I couldn't resist ph34r.gif.

I suppose technically legally you'd need permission to cut bits out as it's creating a derivative work for performance; although maybe there's something that means it doesn't count if it's for an A-level not a public performance...

But Nat there are plenty of 2 pagers in the I giorni collection e.g Melodie African 1 (I think)

I'll look a few more up when I've looked at the book again and post again.

my head of music thinks one of my pieces should be Einaudi coz i love him and can talk for hours about him!

im not sure if i can cut bits so i will have to ring up the exam board and see what they say.

silverpianist- i know there are plenty of short one sin I Giorni but they have to be of quite a high standard to get good marks!

Nat

I see what you mean. You've been playing the others like le onde for quite a while. How much time do you have to get the piece up to scratch before the A2 exam?

do u think i would get shot if i said i didnt like einaudi? ph34r.gif
i just find his accompaniments are rele unvaried and repetitive.....and you just think the piece has finishd and then it starts up all over again....
find it kinda boring myself blink.gif
